What do you think the United States used climate change for?  

 The article states that during the Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations, the ones who thought of setting climate change policy aside and that it would work during their campaign process of becoming president of the United States. It was also a way that it can be politically used for people to vote for the next president, and how it has changed, and that it means so different now that climate change is real and is affecting our lives right now in this time.  They also used it to keep environmental activists on their side and have a good reason to support them, even though it would be only a strategy to get their votes.  There is a good quote that I found, and it talks about the wrong use of climate change. I quote “  But powerful and vocal opponents of global warming policy have been since the 1990s, this political opposition has mostly reacted to the history of climate change.” (pg. 9-45)   it also showed that fact how the pipticla party view the opinion of ou rpoeple on thi stopic of climate change an show it can be effect in ways that we as people need ceratin things to improve so that we can live longer on this planet. It has also been a greater goal to investigate the reason behind and the cause of climate change and how we can change it as we learn from the environmental activists that stand up for the wrongdoing in our important landscapes, such as National parks or historical sites for native people that they use it as there constitutional library adn right to there history form there ancestors. Another quote that I found is a good one that talks about the social and political side of climate change, also known as global warming. I quote “ Our collective social and political failures on global warming stem in part from the primary and sometimes exclusive focus on science in global warming advocacy.” (pg. 10- 45)  I like this quote and how it has view viewpoint on the social political side of how the government deals with climate change, formally known as global warming, and how the social side of climate change can bring environmental activists and or just normal people together to make a difference, including social media as well. It also just is not a use for the optical side anymore, it is now used for bothside and I would say that this quote describes it in a good way.  I like that I keep finding good quotes on this climate change problem in this article, and how it is represented in today’s world. I quote “ To the extent that climate change  discourse continues to revolve around science and the failure to generate  real political change, advocates’ science-first approach has actually undermined many of their objectives.” (pg.10-45) I think that i like this article because it should the different and hwo we view things on the topic o climate change.
