Secretes 

The National security state is a government structure where national security is more of a concern than policy making which led to the expansion and growth of military, and law enforcement after World War II. The cold war led to the creation of bureaucracies designed  to provide intelligence concerning the intention of potential enemies and their capacities to U.S.A security.The culture of secrecy is a culture where it is normalized and justifies government secrecy,  government missions that are covert, and surveillance actions from other countries and within. 

I see the national security state in rural Nevada/Utah with the Cold War nuclear build-up  as something reckless because one of the reasons they did the test in home soil because of the cost to do it in foreign countries and most importantly they were negelective of the impact it has in people around the area they were doing. I also disagree with the fact that they tried to deny the impacts of the test in the area when asked about it. That test they did shows that secrecy in home soil doesn’t end well because people will always notice and the damage is being done by the government. I believe that national security state indeed does exist today even the cold war ended a long time because I believe that the action that has been set of to not believe other countries and fear from other countries wouldn’t just disappear  besides that there is always a competition between countries so intelligence gathering would exist and besides there are countries that considered hostile for those reason I believe national security state still exists.
