The Sagebrush Rebellion and the Wise Use Movement.

THis article talks about the sagebrush rebellion adn how it was successful and it opinion that helped shape the mind of the senators of western states of United States and the political leaders as well an dthe howoyt became such an impact that we show thank the environmental activist that help chnage what we should do in our environment and how they created A hoilday that we call Earth day adn how it a day that we can should respect to those advocate and a day that we can pick up trash in our neighborhood or school grounds. This was also a debate about the reason for the federal government expanding in public lands that were being used to cut or clear out trees in the forest, and unhealthy living conditions for people who need a healthy supply of drinking water as well. It is a way that we can look back on and how it was a problem that people need to change and the senators and political icons understand the need of change so they decide that it was worth it so they sat down and created a law called the wilderness act and how this act was use was that people can not drive in a national parks or clear-cutting tress anymore. This was also debated in the late 1980s-1990s, and how this wilderness act would follow the movement in the sagebrush rebellion. It should be that a lot has changed in today’s world, and things that we are still struggling with.. The students who are advocating for environmental changes include the climate change problem that most people believe that;s its not real and is fake. I believe that it is real adn that it can affect our weather. That’s why this article was a good article to read and to relate to our present-day issues that we still need to fix. It also gave us a background of why the Sagebrush Rebellion and the Wise Use movement happened. Towards the end of the article, it talked about how Reagan and Wyatt, who were in the Sagebrush rebellion, were both concerned about the federal bureaucracy regarding the plans of expanding public lands that were protected under the Wilderness Act during the 1980s-1990s. So this was a good article to give to us to read and do a blog post on it, and see what other people think about this topic.  I also a good time reading this article and finding out this was an event that we never touch on in early school age like in middle school, and high school level and that we hardly celebrate the meaning behind Earth Day and why that is important to history and the people behind and that we should thank them for there activists of environmentalism and how it show in our wold and inspire the new generations to continue to fight those changes in the way we should respect the environment that we blessed to live in.
